Join owners Tom Dalzell and Catherine MacNeal on July 19th and 20th from 10 to 5 to walk the fields of Provence, Grosso, Silverleaf, Twickle Purple, Royal Velvet and 15 other varieties of lavender.  Cut your own bunches of lavender in our lower field or have our volunteers make you a beautiful bouquet.              Browse our lavender market, where new products include eye pillows, essential oil, lavender water and lavender soap, all from our own plants.  Catherine will be offering an assortment of her pillows, sewn from her collection of vintage needlepoint of cats, dogs and children. Look for inspiration among the plants for sale courtesy of Kathy’s Corner, enjoy your first cup of Burton Coffee here at the farm or join us later in the day for refreshing lavender DRY soda, chocolate lavender truffles from Barbara Stratton Premium Chocolates and delectable goodies from Tiffany Schira of Island Gourmet.

Make your way to the back porch of the farmhouse for a special art show featuring works by Vashon artists like Karen Dale, Wendra Lynne, Diane McClary, Jeanne Snell and Janice Wall, while you take in views of Quartermaster Harbor and Mount Rainier. Picnic on the grounds.  Stop at the playhouse with your children to sign them up for sachet making, have their faces painted and enjoy a cup of lemonade.  Join them in the shade for a lesson in lavender wand making. Come learn about beekeeping with Bob Dixon and plein air painting with Karen Dale.

Make sure you purchase a raffle ticket – you might win a lavender iPod shuffle, a needlepoint pillow, or a basket of lavender essentials.
